NZCSPL launches — New Zealand's premier Counter-Strike 2 league is here

Today we're announcing the New Zealand Counter-Strike Premier League — NZCSPL — the country's first fully-structured, season-based CS2 competition.

For too long Kiwi CS has lived in one-off cups and pickup scrims. NZCSPL changes that. A real league. A real schedule. A real trophy on the line.

THE FORMAT • 10 teams, 10-week round robin • Every match is a best-of-three, played Sunday nights at 9:00 PM NZT • Weeks 11–12: Quarterfinals and Semifinals • Week 13: Grand Final • Prize Pool: $10,000 NZD

THE ROAD IN Four of the ten league spots will be earned through the Open Qualifiers on 6 September 2026. Registration is open now — grab five players (Faceit-verified with Steam), a captain, and jump in. A second qualifier will follow later in the year.

THE VISION NZCSPL exists to give New Zealand's Counter-Strike scene the competitive platform it deserves — structured league play, transparent standings, and matches that matter. Our operations are guided by the NZ Esports Code of Conduct.
